The Commonwealth Electoral Act closes the rolls to new voters and to transfers of enrolment for a period after writs are issued for a Federal election until after the close of polling.  The High Court has held that those provisions are invalid, but will not publish its reasons until after the election.  Read the short report from the High Court about the decision in Rowe & Anor v Electoral Commissioner & Anor.
